My Favorite Planner Essentials and Planner Dreams!

I love planning, and I love making everything pretty. I don’t always have the time I wish to make gorgeous layouts, but there are some things in the world of crafting that make beautifying my planner a breeze. Check out my favorites!

stickers

I could write an entire post about stickers, and I probably will. Holy moly, they’re so easy to use. I LOVE STICKERS, and they instantly accessorize my layouts. I currently use an Erin Condren Life Planner, and there are some stickers available through the website (CLICK THIS LINK FOR $10 OFF YOUR PURCHASE!) There are also some super talented people out there who make stickers for planners on Etsy. This isn’t just limited to Erin Condren! There are sets/kits Happy Planner, Plum Planner, Filofax, Kikki K Planner, and more. Here are some of my favorite Etsy sticker shops:

washi tape

Washi tape is awesome for a lot of different reasons. A little can go a long way. Some people use it to divide up days/tasks/weeks in their planner. You can also use it like actual tape to stick concert/movie tickets into your planner. It’s pretty multi functional and there are hundreds and hundreds of different styles and thicknesses to choose from. You can also use it on snail mail. Washi tape is also pretty reuseable. Some Etsy shops or penpals put washi tape on their envelopes and as long as you’re careful, you can peel it off and reuse!

binder/paper clips

I use a lot of binder clips in my planner because I have several separate notebooks I carry around with my planner. I just clip them to the covers of my planner. I also use binder and sometimes paper clips to mark the week I’m in, or bundle together the weeks that have already passed so I can quickly turn from the month to the week I’m on. There are a lot of places to get adorable binder clips, like Target or Amazon. I prefer Amazon, just because of the Prime shipping.

Midori Covers

I love Midoris and fauxdoris. They’re for traveler’s notebooks and amazing. The outside is usually leather or fabric of some kind with elastic. The elastic allows you to attach different inserts and booklets. People have inserts for all kinds of things – Budgeting, Meal Planning, Day to Day Stuff, Habit Tracking, Working Out, etc. You can use an insert for anything. The Midori and fauxdoris also come in a variety of sizes, depending on what your preference is. The main reason I love these is because I like to separate what I track in different notebooks, so it’s a fantastic system to keep everything in one place. You can find covers and inserts on Etsy or Amazon.

Those are all things that I utilize in my daily planning. However, I do have some big dreams! My ultimate, coveted item to use for planning is actually the Polaroid Zip Mobile Printer. The main thing I love about it is the ability to record daily stuff in my planner, and turn it almost into a scrapbook/memorabilia type project. I love to scrapbook, but just don’t have enough time. I take tons of pictures on my phone, but never really get around to printing the pictures and doing anything with them. So this is the perfect compromise. Jen over at Pretty Neat Living, actually has a gorgeous picture of the Polaroid Zip Printer + Erin Condren Life Planner.
